Principle of recuperation
Recuperation is a process when a fresh air coming to the object is heated by wasted air, which is coming out of the object. The thermal energy in wasted air stays in the object. The process is based on the exchanger, which derives the thermal energy from wasted air, and heats the fresh air coming to the object. Modern houses and especially passive houses use recuperation unit that is together with quality insulation the main way how to reduce energy wasting.
Advantages of modern recuperation unit
- high comfort of living with constant fresh air inflow
- the fresh air is cleansed of pollen and allergens
- outflow of smells from the object
- high energy savings
- recuperation unit also helps to outflow radon and is necessary for ventilation of newly insulated old and humid house
